Vice President of Operations
Doug Burt is responsible for our company’s implementation, management, and services oversight related to operations/cash flow improvement engagements for Corporate CBOs, academic medical centers, multi-facility health systems, and specialty/long-term care and rehabilitation facilities.
Doug possesses long and deep experience in the field of revenue cycle management, both working on behalf of and directly for healthcare provider organizations. He has managed numerous receivables management resolution projects for CBO clients ranging in size from 8 to 23 facilities — including one that involved resolution of up to $1.6 billion in a six-month period. He has also conducted provider-payer mutual financial improvement/cost reduction engagements to identify and implement efficiencies and operational economies related to claims processing and payment for both parties.
Prior to joining Xtend Healthcare, Doug was a Partner with a national revenue cycle services company. He also previously served as a senior manager in the national healthcare consulting practice of a Big Four worldwide accounting and consulting firm.
Doug holds a Master of Healthcare Administration degree and Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science/Economics.
They are able to identify the problems, whether it is a system issue or insurance issue, and solve them. They are sharp, capable, reliable and very easy to work with.
The result was miraculous. Over a five-month period, Xtend managed to reduce our A/R by over 50%. They were invaluable in their feedback to our billing staff and our follow-up staff.
